一教学内容

 本节课内容为高一必修二四单元Reading  (How Daisy learned to help wildlife ),这是一篇有关于野生动物保护的文章,讲述了一个小女孩坐飞毯跨越时空,和藏羚羊,大象,猴子对话的经历,从而意识到保护动物的重要性。通过阅读文章,也可唤起学生对保护动物的意识。

教学目标

1使学生熟悉课文内容,懂得保护野生动物的重要性,并知道如何去保护野生动物。

2 提高学生的阅读技能。

教学重点

1)通过泛读,精读文章了解熟悉课文内容。

2)知道保护野生动物的重要性,并知道如何去保护野生动物。

3 )并能用自己的语言复数课文。

教学难点

提高学生通过阅读文章,提取信息的能力,和归纳信息的能力。

学情分析

  全班61人,是本校的一个实验班,学生有一定的英语基础,并且对野生动物保护的话题也比较感兴趣。

教学方法

 四人一小组讨论,同桌互动,师生问答活动,学生自我展示。

教学步骤

Step1 Lead-in 引入 (8分钟)

T: Morning, everyone! Look at the screen, please.I will show you some pictures. Do you think the world around us is beautiful? What  makes the world around us so wonderful? (你认为我们周围的这个世界美吗?什么使这个世界这么美丽?) Unfortunately, nowadays some animals are endangered, which animals are they? (很不幸,当今一些动物濒临绝种,他们是哪些动物呢?) (四人一小组讨论)

T: Why are they in danger of disappearing? (为什么他们会濒临绝种呢?

 Pollution  hunting  Food shortage  disease  Destroy of habitation(栖息地)

Step 2 Reading (scanning 略读) (5分钟)

快速读文章,然后解决下列问题。(师生问答)

What three places did Daisy go to?

What three animals did she meet?

Step 3 Intensive reading (精读)10分钟)

(1)ask the Ss to read the passage carefully and silently, then answer the following questions.)认真仔细阅读文章,然后回答下列问题。(师生问答)

1.  How many antelopes are being killed every year?

2.  What is the problem of the antelope?

3.  Whats the situation about elephant and rhino?

4How did life improve for the farmers in Zimbabwe?

5.  Why did the monkey rub itself?

6.  Why is the thick rain forest important for animals?

  What can we do to help endangered animals?(我们能做些什么来帮助这些濒危动物?)

1.Protect the environment

2.Build conservation zones

3.Forbid people to kill endangered animals

4.Collect money to protect them.

Step6 Homework

       Collect as much information about endangered wildlife in rain forest / in the sea / on the high lands / in the river as possible.
